Alpha Dog

Just watched the movie Alpha Dog (rated R), about the kidnapping and eventual murder of Zach Mazursky (in the real story his name was Nick Markowitz).

Number one, this is one of those stories that has you hoping for the best, but knowing the worst is going to happen. The fact that this story is based on real events just makes it that more painstaking to watch.

The main thing that amazed me was the acting of Justin Timberlake. He did such a great job. I really felt for him, because all along the way, he has the chance to make things right. He wants to make things right, but keeps believing it's all going to work out. Until the very end, I think he saw a way to smooth things over, but ultimately it wasn't his decision.

This is a sad, disturbing movie, but most definitely worth a watch.
